This is one of an ongoing series of that oddly neglected, occasionally seedy area, between Dee Street and the A93.This area has some beautiful Georgian buildings, but also less obviously distinguished architecture.

The event opens at the Music Hall , Union Street, Aberdeen on Friday 29 August from 6.00 to 9pm, then on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 from10 am to 5pm.

I should have about 10 pictures up, mainly from Aberdeen but also a few depicting Brazil.

A lot of the large pictures have been flops. The larger size shows a lot of things that aren`t so obvious on a small: issues relating to colour harmony and composition.

 So, I had thought of going back to a smaller size,  but this painting went so satisfactorily that I decided to buy more large pieces and work on them for the next month.
