An incredibly beautiful city, quite touristy but, perhaps because of the continual bad weather, not oppressively so.

Seville

Seville was windy, often stormy in January, so much so that parks were closed.

It`s an amazing city of endless winding lanes and elegant parks and surprises. It`s difficult to drive in, but an ideal place to  walk around in.

The weather here in Aberdeen has turned sharply colder, and it isn`t easy to go out comfortably.  Scotland in Winter is quite inhospitable. Moreover, the fact that I hate Christmas makes spending December in an Islamic country extremely appealing.

Northern Morocco tends to be rainy in the Winter, so we will spend most of our days in the Atlantic coast.

While in Morocco we stay in hotels, in Spain we have rented apartments. 

I`m getting boards ready: I`m thinking about continuing in black and white, at least for part of the trip.

 Trevélez or Capileira...

 I think the mountain scenery will be very nice for painting. Trevélez is Spain's highest village. It isn't too hard to get to though. Capileira is another option, perhaps easier to get to and perhaps with more varied scenery.

A post-pandemic plan: to go here in April for painting. Also, to take in Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Malaga. 

 There are complications because of the need for health certificates required to enter Spain and the UK, which make travel more complicated. I hope some of these necessities disappear in the next few months, as I find these things stressful.
