Painted to the accomaniment of Bauhaus`s splendid Hollow Hills, which appeard on their second LP, Mask:

Ancient Earth work fort and barrow 

Discreetly hide their secret abodes 

The most fearful hide deep inside 

And venture not there upon Yuletide 

For invasion of their hollow hills 

The music hold and Oberon fill 

Is surely recommended not 

For fear of death in fear of rot

In the right dosage, the gothic is truly a delight.

In rememberance of Clancy

Not dissimilar to other flower pictures: I shall experiment more with the backgrounds in future.

I'm coming to an end of this series.

I could continue, but I think that would result in repetition, and the work becoming more and more decorative and mechanical, like wallpaper.

New Ideas

I like to have a break after completing one body of work, before starting a new one.

I've a number of ideas knocking about.

1. To do a series of posters, with words and very bold images. The posters (cover pages) for the series are usually very popular and sell well. They would have lettering and simple clear images. One would be for Bristol Cars. I am not quite sure about the rest. I'd ake about 7.

2. To start on a series concerned with billiards. These would be cheerful green prints featuring billiard balls. Very charming and light.

The "Nerves" series was quite heavy and serious, and I want to do something light and fun next.
