On a smaller scale again- the intimacy of a smaller scale is  confessional, like whispering.

My satisfaction with this little picture is such that I feel minded to return to a smaller scale and work with that closeness again for a while.

The colours in this Egyptia painting are brighter than appear here- the camera could not quite get it.







I do feel that framing the pictures with a passepartout is generally better. With tight frames such as these they  can feel somewhat crampted, although the gap between from and picture edge in these certainly helps.
