Misty weather.

 I feel that I have been repeating myself a little with recent landscapes and I am glad to be traveling to New York on Saturday, and Miami in October.

These are the product of a drive from Florianopolis via Rancho Queimado to São João Batista.

It is not the most charming of towns that I have been to: the locals seemed surly and there was nowhere pleasant to eat.

 Perhaps I should have stayed in nearby Novo Trento, the Italian colonized city, where I might have least got some decent pizza (along with a sizable dose of Catholicism) but I think that generally as one approaches Joinville the landscape becomes increasingly suburban and less dramatic and the people duller.
