Today's pre-Christmas Sale Selection includes several pieces with architectural subjects, from Glasgow, New York, Florianopolis, Valparaiso, Cusco and Rancho Queimado, a small town in the interior of Santa Catarina. There is also, by way of contraast, an expressionist picture of a forest.
Of the large cities I've worked in, New York is easily the best: people leave you in peace, it's fairly safe, they have an affable, no-nonsense culture and there is coffee everywhere. The architecture is fabulous- characterful and bold. It's stuffed with brilliant museums and has a vast, wonderful park slap bang in the middle. I'm so glad i'll be there in June.
All these pictures are oil on card and were painted plein air. with the highest quality materials.
