I have had the twenty-five pictures placed in their passepartouts. It's a great pleasure to see them, they look quite handsome and I'm more optimistic about the July show than I was previously.
Usually, I chose a neutral ivory mat, but in a few cases I went for grays or blues because it seemed especially to suit them, and in order to lend variety to the collection, and just for the fun of it.
But exhibitions tend to lead one to choose more neutral framing as this is more likely to satisfy- or, at least, not dissatisfy- a wider range of tastes.
Next...the wooden frames...
